YEARS OF RESEARCH AND EXPERIENCE BEHIND ECHORING™

Back in 2007, a decade ago, Professor James Gross, nowadays professor at KTH-Royal Institute of Technology (Stockholm), had the vision that it would come a day when there would be a need for reliable wireless communications with low-latency profiles. After some years evaluating the best approach to solve this challenge, James came up with the idea of a pure software wireless protocol and persuaded Christian Dombrowski to do his Ph.D. about this topic at RWTH Aachen. The result, if you are reading this, is obvious: EchoRing™.

Due to EchoRing™’s exceptionally high potential especially for industrial related applications, in 2015 James decided to contact Dr. Mathias Bohge, management consultant at that time and former classmate of James at TU Berlin, to explore the possibility to spin off the technology into a startup. At the same time, Mathias introduced also management consultant Florian Bonanati to James and Christian, and after some months of market research, they decided to found R3 Communications around EchoRing™.

Today James, Christian, Mathias, and Florian form a remarkably prepared founder team that is pushing EchoRing™ to skyrocket the ultra-available and time critical wireless communication market.

ECHORING™ BASICS

 

 

EchoRing™ is a ground-breaking wireless technology designed for applications that require time-critical performance and high-robustness simultaneously. Based on extensive research and the introduction of massive cooperation EchoRing™ enables a deterministic and low-latency wireless communication with a cable-like performance.
The EchoRing™ software runs on standard hardware platforms, making it a cost-effective and highly flexible solution for time-critical communication requirements.

EchoRing™ enables new product concepts. For instance, with EchoRing™ an ordinary industrial robot can develop into a cheaper and lighter product with new mobile and cooperative capabilities.
